Throughout my career over the past six years, I have helped large corporations, startups, non-profits, and agencies craft designs that are both deeply functional and aesthetic. I am currently working as a UX Designer with Costco's Design Systems team looking into the modernization of their existing design system.
Previously, I’ve worked across industries to enable high-growth startups scale credit-based digital financial services in emerging markets, bridge the empathy gap for product developers building gender intelligent financial products, created a scalable open innovation platform for social entrepreneurs, designed digital interfaces in the IoT space to interact with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Devices, and developed technological interventions for first-time smartphone users. With a background in architectural design, I went on to broaden my design practice beyond the built environment and found my way to the Pacific North West (PNW). I recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Human-Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington, Seattle.
Alongside professional and academic engagements, I also dedicate time towards initiatives that help bridge the gap between academia and the UX design industry. I am a strong proponent of designing culturally embedded solutions. Currently delving into localization in UX to get a better grasp of the interrelations between cultural contexts and design. I believe that a user’s experiential reality should be the primary focus and not an afterthought and this is the driving force behind how I go about design.
When not designing, you can find me learning how to make the ceramics I admire 🫖, getting lost in podcasts 🎧, trying to recreate healthy alternatives of foods that I enjoy 🥙, dabbling in activities that are considered PNW clichés ⛵.

Externalize Ideas Early
I strongly believe in making my ideas tangible early rather than letting them float around in my head in a vague manner. Even if it’s in the form of simple sketches, bringing ideas to life can help connect a lot of dots and invites feedback at an early stage from stakeholders. This helps me take an iterative approach to product design and helps avoid any surprises at a later stage by ensuring we’re aligned on solving the right problems.
Embrace Ambiguity
Design inevitably involves a lot of unknowns because what works in one specific context doesn’t necessarily work in other cases. Sometimes, the end users we’re designing for have such starkly different lived experiences than our own that we might have no idea where to start and that’s okay. It is of utmost importance to get comfortable operating in this manner. I have a blast navigating ambiguity by making sure I delve into the nuances in my target users’ lived experiences. Which should not be an afterthought. I therefore approach each problem with an open-mind.
Think in Systems
I am a strong proponent of looking at things in terms of wholes rather than designing in silos because each design intervention inevitably has an impact on the larger context and I therefore consider the interrelations between various aspects to gain clarity about the broader implications of my designs.

Watch Video Podcast
I have a blast dabbling in new tools, hobbies and side projects from time-to-time to build my craft in areas that pique my curiosity. Balancing my analytical side by engaging my right brain is something I’ve always leaned towards by default.
